Today Kim Poipoia observed a te reo lesson in our classrooms In Room 1 we did a lesson based around Kai (as per the link to Matariki. We used the phrase He aha tenei? The children knew the kai words very well and were able to show their learning effectively. Lisa is to meet with teachers individually tomorrow to offer feedback and 'where to from here'. At the staff meeting, James also shared some videos on Matariki to share with our children if appropriate. Helen shared with us all the word for soup - hupa (As we plan a soup day in all classrooms in Week 10.)
